The largest General Contractor in the United States, Turner Construction Company has long been an ally of the Building Trades and recognizes that hiring Union labor makes sense. We have consistently delivered the most qualified, best trained trade workers to their projects and helped write the success stories through our mutual cooperation.

Current project involvement includes the SUNY Albany ETEC Complex and Union College, with work on large scale projects like GlobalFoundries in Malta. Additionally has dozens of other local projects previously completed.

Based locally in Albany, working in unison with BBL Construction positively reinforces one of the pillars of a thriving economy in the Capital Region; employing local workers and buying local goods and services.

Current project involvement includes Capital Region BOCES and Regeneron, and also has dozens of other local projects previously completed.

The New York State agency handling dozens of state funded public projects. We have a long history of completed projects, from small dormitory renovations at a SUNY school to grand scale projects like the Albany Convention Center.

The Multi-Craft Apprenticeship Preparation Program (MAPP) is a well-established program in Rochester, NY that has expanded its influence into the Albany area. As a hotel that employs Union hospitality staff, we are proud to have a relationship with The Desmond because we know they understand the value and importance of supporting local Union labor.

A world leader in the pharmaceutical industry, with their product supply HQ based right in Rensselaer, NY. We are proud to be involved in their ongoing growth in this area, which includes a large expansion on Tempel Lane in East Greenbush currently under construction.

Several PLAs established for various phases of this project dating back to 2009. Work is ongoing in 2021 and is expected to continue for many years.

Nearly $500 million project completed under a PLA, Rivers Casino has successfully been in operation since 2017.

Another project proudly done under a PLA using Union labor. The new hotel on the premises started construction in 2015 for a July 2016 opening and is still in operation today.

In April 2018, nurses at the Albany Medical Center voted to be represented by the New York State Nurses Association and began their fight for a fair contract with AMC administration. Over three years later, the fight continues. The Greater Capital Region Building Trades has fully supported the nurses since the beginning and will continue to do so until their contract is established and ratified.
